Vixen shrugged and stared out the window.

"Is everything alright, Ms. Vixen?" He says as he drinks his soda, time still frozen.

"Just Vixen please and yes. I just haven't been able to have a normal conversation since I was eight. That was twelve years ago," she smiled faintly at him and sighed again.

"I think all I'm good for is protecting people." She let her head fall onto the table. "I just want to find love in this fucked up world but instead I'm just protecting everyone."

"Maybe," He began to say. "Maybe you should stop protecting people and just look up. Find love first for a while and not worry about protecting people."

Vixen stared at him, not sure if she believed any of this. "It wouldn't work. I'm always busy helping people. I barely have time for a cup of coffee anymore."
