Out For A Meal

In the mood for a meal Drago walks in to his favorite pizza parlor.l always people begin to stare at him wondering why a dragon would even eat pizza.He just ignored them and proceeded to the counter where the chef takes orders."The usual please"I smile as I pay for the meal."It's been a long time you have been here Drago"the chef says as he takes the payment."Has it been that long?"I smile and with my hand behind my head."Thanks" I walk away and walk over to my booth in the corner and wait for my food and play a little game on my phone.Has it really been that long?

Vixen looked around the small pizza shop before ordering cheese sticks and a soda. She got her items and paid then looked around again trying to decide where to sit.

I look around aimlessly looking bored and just sat in my seat playing a game on my phone.I let out a bred sigh."I donr remember this place being so boring.It used to actually be really fun to be here.The tables are all full except mine yet there is nothing interesting happening".I let out another bored sigh and return to the game as I wait for my pizza to arrive.This place changed so much.

Vixen walked over to the only not full table and smiled softly. "Mind if I sit here? Everywhere else is full."

"Ummmm sure!I don't mind at all it's not like I have anything else to do."I look down at ,y phone and continue playing.I hope something interesting happens.

"I remember when hardly anyone came here. I was little and this was my get away. They'd hide me behind the counter from anyone who came looking for me," Vixen smiled softly at the memory.

I set down the phone and looked at Vixen."When I was a little kid people would shun me for being a dragon.Every time something burned down or if anything bad happened they would blame me.I was hated until i turned 16 when I saved this sorry town's ass.I only has one real friend,the chef,Michael.He would always defend me when I was accused."I smiled softly and quietly chuckled at the good times we had.

Vixen smiled. "I remember that. Everyone complained to me because I'm supposed to be the savoir. I'm only 20 years old. I want to be able to experience things normal people can but instead I have to help people. I have to keep the races from fighting. It's tiring."

*Oh god I remember that damn war.So many senseless deaths,so many families destroyed.ANd why?Because one race thought they were better than the other.Thats how a lot of my family was wiped out.I wish these people would just stop and respect each other.I feel like I am in a god damn Naruto episode."The pizza arrives and Michael sets it down on the table."Ooooh Drao has a little girlfriend I see.Take it easy with her."Michael says as he walks away laughing."SHUT UP MICHAEL SHE NOT MY GIRLFRIEND!"God damn michael always trying to pull stuff on me.

Vixen glared at the man. "I'll have you know I'm the reason you're alive so unless you know facts for sure keep your nose out of it!"

I laughed at Vixen's response,"You sure showed him who's boss."I smiled at Vixen."So what brings you to this place?"I take a bite of my pizza and begin chewing.I swallow and ask "Is there something going on with the different races or are you just here to eat?"Oh god,now I sound like an idiot,of course she is here to eat!

"Just here to eat and get away." She smiled softly at him.

"Oh"Smiles awkwardly and scratches the back of my head.I feel like a total tool now.I completely blew it I need to work on my people skills.Vixen's food arrives and Michael slowly sets it on the table."So you said get away?What do you mean by that exactly?"I say with a curious but nervous voice.

"I was born to bring the races back together. I'm pretty much a demonic Goddess to them. So I've got people constantly coming to me for help over things." She shrugged.

"I know the feeling.I wake up in the middle of the night with people knocking on my door telling me about some ridiculous thing.I haven't slept in three days!"I take the lat bite of my pizza and notices that Vixen is done too."Are you doing anything today?If not we can go do something,I have been bored out of my mind today"I say with a warm smile."I think it's cool meeting someone else with so much in common."

"I just want to go somewhere quiet." She sighed softly. "Being around so many noisy people is tiring."

"There is a forest here outside of town,it's pretty quiet there.If you want I can take you there and show you a peaceful pond thats near the clearing if you want."

Vixen simply nodded.

"Alright then."I get up from my seat and leave a tip on the table as I escort Vixen out the door."If you want I could fly you there it's much faster or do you feel like taking a stroll in the woods in the dark?"

"I feel like taking a stroll in the dark." She smiled gently.

"Ok......."I don't know if she's being sarcastic or serious."Do you at least want me to light the way?"

"I can see in the dark." She got up and started towards the door. "Coming?"

"Um yeah....I kinda have to since I am the one showing you the way."I walk out of the parlor and head towards the forest."So did anything bad happen that makes you want to forget?I just wanna know since I only go there to clear my mind."I start walking into the dark forest.The moonlight shines on my eyes making them glow a dark green.

"I know the way to the forest." She sighed softly. "And all my days are bad so."

"Humph...I know the feeling..."I keep walking and notice a fallen tree."Watch your step."
